A Foreign Affair (1948) é uma sátira sobre a corrupcao que rolava durante a ocupacao de Berlim pelos aliados, depois da guerra.

Uma senadora americana chata faz parte de um comitê que vai pra Berlim investigar como anda o astral e o comportamento das tropas americanas de ocupacao. Ela se apaixona por um oficial americano, que está envolvido com a personagem da Marlene Dietrich, uma cantora de boate super mulher fatal, que tinha sido amante de um oficial nazista.

O filme foi super polêmico na época e foi probido na Alemanha, porque muita gente achou um escândalo o Billy Wilder fazer humor com aquilo tudo tao cedo.
